Bleep Shortlisted in Two Categories at the Event Technology Awards

Bleep UK PLC has made the shortlist in two categories at the Event Technology Awards 2017, for Best use of Technology for Event Analytics/Data Collection and Best Venue Solution.

The shortlisting sees Bleep’s cloud based Web Back Office recognised in the Best use of Technology for Event Analytics/Data Collection category and the achievements supplying events such as EURO 2016, the Rio Olympic Games, Wimbledon, The Open and many more over the past 12 months, for the Best Venue Solution category.

On the news, John Wellman, CEO of Bleep UK PLC said, “It is a great achievement to be shortlisted in two highly competitive categories and feel this recognition is exactly what our efforts within the events industry over the past five or so years, since the London 2012 Olympic Games, deserve.”

“We look forward to finding out if we are a winner at the awards ceremony, but feel proud and honoured to be at this stage – as the leading provider of EPOS and Payment solutions to the world’s biggest and best events.”

The 2017 shortlist has seen over 100 companies making the cut in 28 categories. The ceremony will be held at Troxy in East London on Thursday 9th November.

Recognised as the accolade, the Event Technology Awards registered another record number of entries. They came from as far away as New Zealand, Australia, Russia and Mexico.

Twenty-one judges, practiced in technology across the event spectrum, from British Athletics to Banks Sadler, will make the final decisions and winners will be revealed at a ceremony that promises more glitter than ever.

Adam Parry, co-founder and commercial director of the ETAs, comments, “Technology makes a bigger, faster mark in events media every year, but the sector itself has always looked for the latest solutions to enhance safety, productivity, the experience and all points between.”

“The ETAs are designed to reflect those changes. So congratulations to everyone who made the shortlist. The quality and quantity of the submissions makes that a real achievement in itself and we will celebrate in fitting style on November 9th.”
